General Information
Brief Description
Gallery/MIZ is an art gallery committed to exhibiting contemporary art founded in 2011. Our aim is to introduce a young talent to international art scene every year along with exhibitions devoted to established artists.
Gallery/MIZ is launching Artists–in–Residence programme in June, having accomplished its seasonal exhibition programme. The gallery space, located at the heart of the prestigious art district of Istanbul, is going to turn into a vivid art studio in which selected artists produce art in given periods. Residents are expected to hold regular studio sessions for the audience to discuss their work in progress.
Those artists to-be-selected will have the opportunity of exhibiting their works within a group exhibition during the season.
Guidelines
Gallery/MIZ offers three terms for residency, details of which are stated below. We will accept proposals from those individual artists from all disciplines all over the world starting March 15th, 2012. Those graduate artists aged between 20 and 40 are welcome to submit residency proposals to be accomplished within three weeks in the given studio/gallery.
Selected artists are expected to hold a workshop and/or artist talk concerning his/her art and project before audience to be published on the Gallery/MIZ website.
